Alessandro Gassmann, one of Italy’s most internationally appreciated and well-known actors, directors and screenwriters, is the new Ambassador of Bulgari watches in Italy. The Rome-born actor perfectly embodies the spirit of the Maison.
Bulgari men’s watches have become icons of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, combining technical excellence and avant-garde aesthetics, while pursuing new goals in terms of sophistication and innovation.
Alessandro is the son of Vittorio Gassmann, one of the greatest Italian actors of all time. After making his debut at the age of 17, he starred in a 1997 film directed by Ferzan Ozpetek titled Steam: The Turkish Bath. His career took off with this cinematic gem that proved a huge international success. In 2008, with Quiet Chaos by Antonello Grimaldi, he won the most significant awards of his career: the David di Donatello award and the Nastro d’Argento (Silver Ribbon) as Best Supporting Actor. Increasingly acclaimed by critics and audiences, he continues to collaborate with well-known directors including Paolo Genovese, Francesca Archibugi, and Rocco Papaleo.
This dedication is also something he shares with Bulgari, whose numerous partnerships in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility testify to the brand’s firm belief in innovating the present in order to give nature and society a sustainable future.
“It is an honour for Bulgari to welcome Alessandro Gassmann as watch Ambassador for Italy. He is a charismatic actor whose sensitivity to environmental issues means he perfectly embodies the sense of responsibility cherished by the Maison, which has for many years consistently promoted ethical, sustainable, social and environmental behaviour as well as nurturing a culture of “giving back”. In welcoming Alessandro to our family, I am certain that his voice he will make him an incredible ally in getting our messages across and representing the perfect image of our watches’ creativity and uniqueness”, Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO Bulgari Group.
